the Modesto Teachers Association (MTA) is an advocate for educators representing over 1,700 certificated members.
Membership
Members include teachers from Early Childhood Education (ECE), Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Elementary (1-6), and High School (7-12). Our bargaining unit also includes School Psychologists, Nurses, Language, Speach & Hearing Specialists, Inclusion Specialists, G230 Academy Programs, Prep Providers, Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), Computer Literacy Teachers (CLT), Cal-SAFE program, Interns, Substitutes, and certificated employees of Modesto City Schools (MCS).

MTA’s mission is to promote community understanding of educational concerns and needs of children, to offer leadership towards solutions, and to promote united action and cooperation among individuals and organizations devoted to the educational interests of the community, state and nation.
